uMkhomazi Bulk Water Supply Scheme
Dalisu Nelson, Civil Engineering Technologist at Ingerop South Africa, recently joined a Civil Designer technical support user group while working on the Lower uMkhomazi Bulk Water Supply Scheme (Phase 2). The project forms part of a major initiative to improve water supply to approximately 50,000 households across the eThekwini and Ugu Municipal Districts in KwaZulu-Natal.
The site has been extensively modelled in Civil Designer, including the roads, bulk earthworks and clariflocculator excavations. With work continuing on the pulsator and filter excavations, the overall model is 90% complete.
“The recent User Group session was very informative, and I appreciated the opportunity to engage with the Civil Designer team and learn more about the software’s capabilities and supporting services.” –DALISU NELSON
